The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.140.30

जातस्य मेऽद्य वर्षाणि षोडशैष पिता मम ।
इयं मातास्पदं चेदमिति मे प्रतिमोदभूत् ॥ ३० ॥

jātasya me'dya varṣāṇi ṣoḍaśaiṣa pitā mama |
iyaṃ mātāspadaṃ cedamiti me pratimodabhūt || 30 ||

After my birth I passed sixteen years at that spot, and had the knowledge of this person as my father, and that one as my mother, and this spot as my dwelling place, and all this knowledge rising spontaneously from my self-cogitation.
