The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.139.24

तच्च क्षुब्धार्णवोत्थेन पूर्यमाणं महाम्भसा ।
विमुक्तेनेव कल्पाभ्रैरभ्रंकषतरंगिणा ॥ २४ ॥

tacca kṣubdhārṇavotthena pūryamāṇaṃ mahāmbhasā |
vimukteneva kalpābhrairabhraṃkaṣataraṃgiṇā || 24 ||

This world seemed to rise out of the troubled ocean, and to be filled with water (seas) upon its surface; it was released from the darkness of diluvian clouds, which had enveloped it, like the mists overhanging on oceans.
