The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.139.19

नाडीनां मृदुरूपत्वात्पूर्णत्वाद्वा व्रणोदरे ।
क्वापि प्राणे स्थिते लीने निःस्पन्दास्ते सुषुप्तता ॥ १९ ॥

nāḍīnāṃ mṛdurūpatvātpūrṇatvādvā vraṇodare |
kvāpi prāṇe sthite līne niḥspandāste suṣuptatā || 19 ||

Again when the intestinal parts are cool and phlegmatic, or exhausted by effusion of blood owing to some sore or wound, and the breathing being stopped in the body, there comes the state of numbness of sleep.
