The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.139.14

देहे सौम्ये स्थिते प्राणे मनो मननवद्भवेत् ।
क्षुब्धे प्राणगतं क्षोभं पश्यन्नान्यत्प्रपश्यति ॥ १४ ॥

dehe saumye sthite prāṇe mano mananavadbhavet |
kṣubdhe prāṇagataṃ kṣobhaṃ paśyannānyatprapaśyati || 14 ||

It was in this manner that the supreme spirit, hath ordained the mind and vital breath, in the very beginning of creation; and therefore this law of their co-operation, continues unaltered to this day.
