The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यदा तदात्मकात्मैकपरो हृदि सहस्थितम् ।
अप्रधानीकरोत्येतच्चित्तं स्वार्थस्वभावतः ॥ २१ ॥

yadā tadātmakātmaikaparo hṛdi sahasthitam |
apradhānīkarotyetaccittaṃ svārthasvabhāvataḥ || 21 ||

Then our souls remained with the supreme soul in the breast, and kept the course of the naturally ungovernable mind under subjection.
