The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.137.23

अनन्तरमहं प्राप्तस्तेजोधातुं हृदन्तरे ।
दूरस्थमिव यत्नेन रात्राविन्दुमिवार्करुक् ॥ २३ ॥

anantaramahaṃ prāptastejodhātuṃ hṛdantare |
dūrasthamiva yatnena rātrāvindumivārkaruk || 23 ||

Soon afterwards I found the sight of some shining substance, at a distance from the heart (i.e. the culinary fire); as a man scorched by sun shine, finds the sight of cooling moon in the gloom of night.
