The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रक्तकुट्टरसश्लेष्मवसानिःस्रावपिच्छिलम् ।
घनान्धकारमुष्णं च संकटं नरकोपमम् ॥ १७ ॥

raktakuṭṭarasaśleṣmavasāniḥsrāvapicchilam |
ghanāndhakāramuṣṇaṃ ca saṃkaṭaṃ narakopamam || 17 ||

But then I was tormented as in hell-fire, by the boiling blood, bile and phlegm; in my dark and dismal dungeon.
