The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.136.22

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
ब्रह्मादीनां तृणान्तानां द्विधा भवति संभवः ।
एको ब्रह्ममयोऽन्यस्तु भ्रान्तिजस्ताविमौ श्रृणु ॥ २२ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
brahmādīnāṃ tṛṇāntānāṃ dvidhā bhavati saṃbhavaḥ |
eko brahmamayo'nyastu bhrāntijastāvimau śrṛṇu || 22 ||

Vasishtha replied:—Know Rama, all living beings from the great Brahma to the animalcule and vegetable below, have two kinds of birth; the one is that they are all full of Brahma, and the other that they are the creatures of our errors.
