The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.136.9

अपश्यदग्रे च जगच्चक्षुरादि स्वभावतः ।
आधाराधेयवद्भूतमयं स्वप्नपुरं यथा ॥ ९ ॥

apaśyadagre ca jagaccakṣurādi svabhāvataḥ |
ādhārādheyavadbhūtamayaṃ svapnapuraṃ yathā || 9 ||

It then beheld the sensible organs, as receptacles of their particular faculties; and saw the world with all its beings, appearing before it as in its dream; and as we see a city in our dreaming state.
