The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पञ्चैतानि तदस्थीनि संपन्नानि महाद्रयः ।
हिमाद्रिशिखराणीव स्थितान्यावार्य दिक्तटम् ॥ ५ ॥

pañcaitāni tadasthīni saṃpannāni mahādrayaḥ |
himādriśikharāṇīva sthitānyāvārya diktaṭam || 5 ||

The big bones of its bulky body, form the mountains of this earth;and what is this high Himalaya, but the huge back bone of [the] gigantic skeleton.
