The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.133.1

विपश्चिदुवाच ।
कस्मिंश्चिदन्यत्र जगत्यपूर्वे दृष्टं मयेदं श्रृणु किं विचित्रम् ।
महाघवृत्तान्तदशासमानमविद्ययान्धेन बलात्कृतं यत् ॥ १ ॥

vipaściduvāca |
kasmiṃścidanyatra jagatyapūrve dṛṣṭaṃ mayedaṃ śrṛṇu kiṃ vicitram |
mahāghavṛttāntadaśāsamānamavidyayāndhena balātkṛtaṃ yat || 1 ||

Vipaschit said:—I saw another great wonder, in some part of some other world, which I will now rehearse unto you; it was a horrible sight that attends on sin, and which I had to see by my blind attachment to ignorance.
