The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पुनर्वारि पुनर्भूमिस्तेषामाक्रमतां चिरम् ।
नवलब्धशरीराणां दीर्घकालो व्यवर्तत ॥ १४ ॥

punarvāri punarbhūmisteṣāmākramatāṃ ciram |
navalabdhaśarīrāṇāṃ dīrghakālo vyavartata || 14 ||

They passed from the land to water, and the waters to other lands again; and thus they passed many lives and ages, in their repeated inquiries with their resuscitated bodies in reiterated births.
