The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीराम उवाच ।
स ब्रह्माण्डकपाटः किं न संप्राप्तो विपश्चिता ।
त्वयैतत्कथितं ब्रह्मन्न कथं वदतां वर ॥ २० ॥

śrīrāma uvāca |
sa brahmāṇḍakapāṭaḥ kiṃ na saṃprāpto vipaścitā |
tvayaitatkathitaṃ brahmanna kathaṃ vadatāṃ vara || 20 ||

Rama said:—How was it, sir, that he could not reach to the utmost pole of the universe, nor could he pierce its vault to get out of it? Please explain this fully to me, which you have not yet done.
