The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संविद्धनस्य कचनं यादृशं कल्पनात्मकम् ।
यदित्थं संनिवेशेन नन्वियं जागती स्थितिः ॥ १८ ॥

saṃviddhanasya kacanaṃ yādṛśaṃ kalpanātmakam |
yaditthaṃ saṃniveśena nanviyaṃ jāgatī sthitiḥ || 18 ||

The aspect of the world is according to the modality, in which it is situated in the imagination of Brahma, and as it is reflected from its archetype in the Divine mind.
