The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.127.8

तस्मात्पतन्ती भूर्भाता पतत्येवानिशं जगत् ।
उत्पतन्ती तु चिद्भाता तथा नानात्मिका भवेत् ॥ ८ ॥

tasmātpatantī bhūrbhātā patatyevāniśaṃ jagat |
utpatantī tu cidbhātā tathā nānātmikā bhavet || 8 ||

Hence as thoughts and notions of things, occur and subside continually in the mind; so the earth and heavenly bodies, appear incessantly to revolve in their spheres.
