The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.126.25

प्रधानदेवो भूत्वासौ लोकालोकगिरिं गतः ।
अस्य भूमण्डलतरोरालवालमिव स्थितम् ॥ २५ ॥

pradhānadevo bhūtvāsau lokālokagiriṃ gataḥ |
asya bhūmaṇḍalatarorālavālamiva sthitam || 25 ||

Being one of the principal gods, he went to the Lokaloka or polar mountain, which surrounded the globe of the earth, as an aqueduct begirds the base of a tree.
