The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.124.12

बहुबाहुर्यदा द्वाभ्यां हस्ताभ्यां ह्यर्थसंग्रहम् ।
करोति बहुभिर्भूयः संग्रामं सततं करैः ॥ १२ ॥

bahubāhuryadā dvābhyāṃ hastābhyāṃ hyarthasaṃgraham |
karoti bahubhirbhūyaḥ saṃgrāmaṃ satataṃ karaiḥ || 12 ||

Again though the two hands of a person, are enough to discharge the ordinary affairs of life; yet it is requisite to have many arms, in order to wield many weapons in warfare.
