The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.123.10

क्रौञ्चद्वीपाचले पूर्वो निगीर्णो रक्षसा वने ।
तद्रक्षः पाटितं तेन हृदयेऽन्त्रविकर्तनैः ॥ १० ॥

krauñcadvīpācale pūrvo nigīrṇo rakṣasā vane |
tadrakṣaḥ pāṭitaṃ tena hṛdaye'ntravikartanaiḥ || 10 ||

Thence he passed to the Krauncha-dwipa on the east; where he was seized and devoured by a Rakshasa of the mountain, but whom he killed afterwards by ripping up his belly and its entrails.
