The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पीतो विपश्चित्पाश्चात्यो मीनेनामरमानिना ।
विष्णुमीनकुलोत्थेन वितस्तावाहनौजसा ॥ ३ ॥

pīto vipaścitpāścātyo mīnenāmaramāninā |
viṣṇumīnakulotthena vitastāvāhanaujasā || 3 ||

Then as the king was proceeding towards the western main, he was seized and devoured by a voracious fish, which was as the undying breed of Vishnu's fish, and as fleet as a boat in the stream of Bitasta Beyah.
