The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रक्रान्तास्तेम्बुराशौ सहचरमकराः शूरनक्रैः कुलीरैर्व्याप्तावर्ताविवृत्ताः सलिलतरुलतासीकरैरन्तरालैः कुर्वन्तः कान्तियुक्तं वपुरिव कुसुमैर्भ्रान्तमाणिक्यमुक्तैर्व्यक्ताव्यक्तांशुजालैः प्रतिपदमितरैरभ्ररूपैरदभ्रैः ॥ २० ॥

prakrāntāstemburāśau sahacaramakarāḥ śūranakraiḥ kulīrairvyāptāvartāvivṛttāḥ salilatarulatāsīkarairantarālaiḥ kurvantaḥ kāntiyuktaṃ vapuriva kusumairbhrāntamāṇikyamuktairvyaktāvyaktāṃśujālaiḥ pratipadamitarairabhrarūpairadabhraiḥ || 20 ||

Thus the companions of the king crossed the ocean, which was full of sharks and alligators, and tremendous eddies; they were sprinkled by water like showers of flowers, and adorned with marine gems and pearls;and they crossed over on foot, as others do in navies.
