The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्प्रार्थयामहे देवं हुताशं तद्वरादिमाः ।
प्रेक्षामहे दिशः सर्वा आपर्यन्तमखेदिनः ॥ ९ ॥

tatprārthayāmahe devaṃ hutāśaṃ tadvarādimāḥ |
prekṣāmahe diśaḥ sarvā āparyantamakhedinaḥ || 9 ||

Let us therefore pray the god of fire (electricity), that we may see at once every thing on all sides by his favour, and with[out] any exertion of or pain on our sides.
