The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पश्चाज्जातः कलकलरवः संतते पान्थसार्थे दीनालापैर्व्यसनविधुरैरालेपन्ते च मेघम् ।
कष्टं पान्थो मृत इति महारम्भसंपन्नहाहाशब्दः प्रोद्यत्पथिकवनिताविस्तृतोरःप्रहारः ॥ ८ ॥

paścājjātaḥ kalakalaravaḥ saṃtate pānthasārthe dīnālāpairvyasanavidhurairālepante ca megham |
kaṣṭaṃ pāntho mṛta iti mahārambhasaṃpannahāhāśabdaḥ prodyatpathikavanitāvistṛtoraḥprahāraḥ || 8 ||
