The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हेलया राजहंसेन यत्कृतं कलकूजितम् ।
न तद्वर्षशतेनापि जानात्याशिक्षितुं बकः ॥ ३५ ॥

helayā rājahaṃsena yatkṛtaṃ kalakūjitam |
na tadvarṣaśatenāpi jānātyāśikṣituṃ bakaḥ || 35 ||

The sweet music of the swan as it sings of its own accord, is inimitable by the crow or crane, although they are taught to learn it for many years in its society.
