The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मा भूत्कस्यचिदेवैषा राजन्व्यसनिता भृशम् ।
पश्यैतां बिम्बितां हंसो हंसीमनुसरन्मृतः ॥ ३४ ॥

mā bhūtkasyacidevaiṣā rājanvyasanitā bhṛśam |
paśyaitāṃ bimbitāṃ haṃso haṃsīmanusaranmṛtaḥ || 34 ||

Let no body be so unfortunate, O lord, as was this gander, which [was] in pursuit of the shadow of the goose.
