The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सरभससारसविदलत्पुष्करमकरन्दसुन्दरे सरसि ।
कथमिह विहरति काकः स्फुरदवकरनिकरधूसरस्कन्धः ॥ ६८ ॥

sarabhasasārasavidalatpuṣkaramakarandasundare sarasi |
kathamiha viharati kākaḥ sphuradavakaranikaradhūsaraskandhaḥ || 68 ||

It is impossible for a crow, to abide with cranes and storks by the side of a lake, which abounds in lotus flowers, that diffuse their sombre farina all about.
