The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.116.27

आयान्ति यान्ति निपतन्ति तथोत्पतन्ति सर्गश्रियः कणघटा इव पावकोत्थाः ।
यत्रामलं तदहमेकमनादिमध्यं मन्ये खमेव न तु कारणमीश्वराख्यम् ॥ २७ ॥

āyānti yānti nipatanti tathotpatanti sargaśriyaḥ kaṇaghaṭā iva pāvakotthāḥ |
yatrāmalaṃ tadahamekamanādimadhyaṃ manye khameva na tu kāraṇamīśvarākhyam || 27 ||

We see the works of creation, to be continually producing, existing and extinguishing in air, like sparks of fire; I ween this pure and sole air, which is without beginning, middle and end, as the universal source and terminus of all, and no other distinct cause as God.
