The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.115.1

पार्श्वगा ऊचुः ।
अत्रोत्तमाशथ लतावलयालयेषु लीलाविलोलललनाः कलयन्ति गीतम् ।
उद्दामभावरसविस्मृतवासरेहा विश्रम्य किंनरगणाः कलकाकलीकम् ॥ १ ॥

pārśvagā ūcuḥ |
atrottamāśatha latāvalayālayeṣu līlāvilolalalanāḥ kalayanti gītam |
uddāmabhāvarasavismṛtavāsarehā viśramya kiṃnaragaṇāḥ kalakākalīkam || 1 ||

The royal companions related:—Hear, O high minded lord! the Kinnara females from their abodes of leafy bowers, where they enjoy themselves with singing their songs; and the Kinnara also being enrapt with the music, listen to it attentively by forgetting their business of the day.
