The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विदूरस्था रथेभ्यश्च वीचिचीत्कारकारिणः ।
सरोम्भस्यनिलैः पेतुः पद्मेभ्य इव षट्पदाः ॥ २६ ॥

vidūrasthā rathebhyaśca vīcicītkārakāriṇaḥ |
sarombhasyanilaiḥ petuḥ padmebhya iva ṣaṭpadāḥ || 26 ||

The routed foot soldiers who were as numerous as the dust of the earth, and well armed from head to foot; were yet so overpowered under the showers of darts and discs, that they were blinded by the tears of their eyes, and disabled to beat their retreat.
