The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दन्तिनोऽन्योन्यमाभग्नदन्तदेहौघपीडिताः ।
मृत्यूदरोम्भकग्रासपिण्डपिण्डा इवाभवन् ॥ ५ ॥

dantino'nyonyamābhagnadantadehaughapīḍitāḥ |
mṛtyūdarombhakagrāsapiṇḍapiṇḍā ivābhavan || 5 ||

The elephants falling upon one another, pierced their bodies and gored each other to death with their tusks; and became heaps of flesh, similar to the lumps of food with which they filled their bellies.
