The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दन्तिदन्तविनिष्पिष्टशिष्टसद्भटसंकटम् ।
कटे मृत्योरिव नरद्राक्षापीडनयन्त्रके ॥ ४० ॥

dantidantaviniṣpiṣṭaśiṣṭasadbhaṭasaṃkaṭam |
kaṭe mṛtyoriva naradrākṣāpīḍanayantrake || 40 ||

Daring soldiers were grinded under tusks of elephants, as if they were pounded under the jaws of death, or as the grapes are crushed in their pressing mills.
