The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.109.30

भुक्त्वाथ वह्निस्तं देहं ददावस्मै चतुर्गुणम् ।
महतामुपयुक्तं हि सद्य एवाभिवर्धते ॥ ३० ॥

bhuktvātha vahnistaṃ dehaṃ dadāvasmai caturguṇam |
mahatāmupayuktaṃ hi sadya evābhivardhate || 30 ||

The sacred fire, being fed with the fat and flesh of the royal carcass; yielded forth with four such living bodies, from amidst its burning flames; as it is the nature of the good and great, to make an instantaneous of fourfold, of what they receive in earnest.
