The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

छिन्नमेष शिरो यावज्जुहोत्यसितवर्त्मने ।
तावच्छरीरेण सह पपाताग्नौ स पार्थिवः ॥ २९ ॥

chinnameṣa śiro yāvajjuhotyasitavartmane |
tāvaccharīreṇa saha papātāgnau sa pārthivaḥ || 29 ||

As the head became an oblation, to the fire of dusky fumes;the headless trunk of the self-immolated sovereign, sprang and flew also upon the burning furnace.
