The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.108.26

प्रतीहार उवाचेदं प्रविश्याकुलमानतः ।
प्रतीहार उवाच ।
उत्तराशाबलाध्यक्षो देव द्वार्यवतिष्ठति ।
काङ्क्षत्यब्जमिवार्कस्य देवदेवस्य दर्शनम् ॥ २६ ॥

pratīhāra uvācedaṃ praviśyākulamānataḥ |
pratīhāra uvāca |
uttarāśābalādhyakṣo deva dvāryavatiṣṭhati |
kāṅkṣatyabjamivārkasya devadevasya darśanam || 26 ||

When the warder appeared before him, and lowly bending down his head, he sorrowfully expressed: “Lord, the chieftain of the north is waiting at the gate, and expects like the lotus to come to thy sunlike sight.”
