The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इति श्रुत्वा महीपालः कालक्षेपमवास्तवम् ।
मन्यमान उवाचेदं निर्गच्छन्वरमन्दिरात् ॥ २२ ॥

iti śrutvā mahīpālaḥ kālakṣepamavāstavam |
manyamāna uvācedaṃ nirgacchanvaramandirāt || 22 ||

Hearing so, the king thought it useless to waste time, and issuing out of his royal apartment, he bade as follows.
