The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मृतः सन्स्वप्नजगति स्वप्नजन्तुवियोगवान् ।
इह प्रबुध्यते जन्तुर्निद्रामुक्तश्च कथ्यते ॥ २१ ॥

mṛtaḥ sansvapnajagati svapnajantuviyogavān |
iha prabudhyate janturnidrāmuktaśca kathyate || 21 ||

A man being dead, he is separated from his friends, as from those he sees in his dream; and then the living is said to be awakened, as when a sleeper awakes from his slumber.
