The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.103.38

अद्यैव न चिकित्सां यः करोति मरणापदः ।
संप्राप्तायां मृतौ मूढः करिष्यति किमातुरः ॥ ३८ ॥

adyaiva na cikitsāṃ yaḥ karoti maraṇāpadaḥ |
saṃprāptāyāṃ mṛtau mūḍhaḥ kariṣyati kimāturaḥ || 38 ||

If you neglect to make a remedy today, against the evil of your impending death; say O silly man, what amends can you make for the hour of death, when you are laid in your sickbed.
