The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निर्मानमोहमापन्ना गतिं गच्छत माधमाम् ।
क्रियते स्वात्मबोधेन मूलकाषो महापदाम् ॥ ३६ ॥

nirmānamohamāpannā gatiṃ gacchata mādhamām |
kriyate svātmabodhena mūlakāṣo mahāpadām || 36 ||

Shun ye men, your vanity and ignorance; and to persist in the course of your baseness; and then you will gain by the knowledge of the great soul, your redemption from the tribulations of the world.
