The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.102.15

संप्रहृष्टाश्च लक्ष्यन्ते लक्ष्यन्ते दुःखितास्तथा ।
न स्वभावं त्यजन्त्यन्तः संसारारभटीनटाः ॥ १५ ॥

saṃprahṛṣṭāśca lakṣyante lakṣyante duḥkhitāstathā |
na svabhāvaṃ tyajantyantaḥ saṃsārārabhaṭīnaṭāḥ || 15 ||

They are seen to be joyous and sorrowful also at times, without changing the sedateness and serenity of their nature at any time. They act the part of players on the stage of the earth.
