The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.101.26

मृतिरत्यन्तनाशश्चेत्तद्भवामयसंक्षयः ।
भूयः शरीरलाभश्चेन्नव एव तदुत्सवः ॥ २६ ॥

mṛtiratyantanāśaścettadbhavāmayasaṃkṣayaḥ |
bhūyaḥ śarīralābhaścennava eva tadutsavaḥ || 26 ||

If death convey the meaning of the ultimate dissolution of a person, it is desirable even in that sense, for the cessation of our pains altogether; or it is used to mean one's resuscitation in a new body and life, it must be a cause of great rejoicing.
