The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संविदो नास्ति संवेद्यं स्वयं संवेद्यतामिता ।
चित्त्वादतो विशालाक्ष द्वितैकत्वे क्व वा स्थिते ॥ ८ ॥

saṃvido nāsti saṃvedyaṃ svayaṃ saṃvedyatāmitā |
cittvādato viśālākṣa dvitaikatve kva vā sthite || 8 ||

Consciousness has nothing to be conscious but of itself only; and therefore, O big eyed Rama, where can you get a duality, except the single subjectivity of the Intellect?
