The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भूतानामणुमात्राणामप्यस्माकमिवैषणाः ।
किंत्वल्पास्था वयं विघ्नास्तेषां त्वचलसंनिभाः ॥ ४ ॥

bhūtānāmaṇumātrāṇāmapyasmākamivaiṣaṇāḥ |
kiṃtvalpāsthā vayaṃ vighnāsteṣāṃ tvacalasaṃnibhāḥ || 4 ||

All living beings from the noble and great to the mean and minute, have their appetites and desires like ourselves; but the difference consists in their lesser or greater proportion in us and themselves.
