Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथासंभवसत्सङ्गशास्त्रैः प्राग्धियमेधयेत् ।
दोषलेशमनादृत्य नित्यं सेवेत सज्जनम् ॥ २० ॥

yathāsaṃbhavasatsaṅgaśāstraiḥ prāgdhiyamedhayet |
doṣaleśamanādṛtya nityaṃ seveta sajjanam || 20 ||
