The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.96.5

न स्वयंभूर्न च जगन्न स्वप्नपुरमस्त्यलम् ।
स्थितं संविन्महादृष्ट्या ब्रह्म चिन्मात्रमेतया ॥ ५ ॥

na svayaṃbhūrna ca jaganna svapnapuramastyalam |
sthitaṃ saṃvinmahādṛṣṭyā brahma cinmātrametayā || 5 ||

There is no self born creative power (as Brahma), nor its creation of the world; which is but a production of the dreaming intellect, and is situated in our consciousness, as the sights of dreams are imprinted in the memory.
