The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.95.30

अयं प्रकृत्या विषयैर्वशीकृतः परस्परं स्त्रीधनलोलुपो जनः ।
यथार्थसंदर्शनतः सुखी भवेन्मुमुक्षुशास्त्रार्थविचारणादितः ॥ ३० ॥

ayaṃ prakṛtyā viṣayairvaśīkṛtaḥ parasparaṃ strīdhanalolupo janaḥ |
yathārthasaṃdarśanataḥ sukhī bhavenmumukṣuśāstrārthavicāraṇāditaḥ || 30 ||

Here all men are subject to their sense, and addicted to the increase of wealth and family (lit.—wives), to the injury of one another; yet it is possible for them to be happy and wise, if they will but ponder well into the true sense of spiritual sastras.
