The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सत्यं मनोरमाः कामाः सत्यं रम्या विभूतयः ।
किंतु मत्ताङ्गनापाङ्गभङ्गलोलं हि जीवितम् ॥ ७९ ॥

satyaṃ manoramāḥ kāmāḥ satyaṃ ramyā vibhūtayaḥ |
kiṃtu mattāṅganāpāṅgabhaṅgalolaṃ hi jīvitam || 79 ||

Granting the objects of desire to be pleasing, and the gifts of prosperity to be very charming; still what are they and this life also any more, than the fickle glances of a mistress' eyes.
