The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उपविष्ट समाधाननिष्ठमिष्टं पदं गतम् ।
सौम्योदयमिवादित्यं दग्धेन्धनमिवानलम् ॥ ३ ॥

upaviṣṭa samādhānaniṣṭhamiṣṭaṃ padaṃ gatam |
saumyodayamivādityaṃ dagdhendhanamivānalam || 3 ||

He sat in his mood of deep meditation, and was entranced in his thought of the supreme spirit; his appearance was as bright as the sun, and his person was as shining as the flaming fire.
