The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.90.18

मया दुष्कृतिनेवोर्ध्वशिलास्वस्थेन भूभृताम् ।
स्वावर्तवर्तिना श्वभ्रपातेषु शतधा गतम् ॥ १८ ॥

mayā duṣkṛtinevordhvaśilāsvasthena bhūbhṛtām |
svāvartavartinā śvabhrapāteṣu śatadhā gatam || 18 ||

I saw the water on the mountain-top, which thought it rested on high, yet it fell owing to its restlessness in the form of a water-fall in the cataract, where it was dashed to a thousand splashes.
