The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.89.17

यतो न किंचित्कुरुते न च रूपं समुज्झति ।
तस्मान्न मानसं नेदं किंचिदस्ति महीतलम् ॥ १७ ॥

yato na kiṃcitkurute na ca rūpaṃ samujjhati |
tasmānna mānasaṃ nedaṃ kiṃcidasti mahītalam || 17 ||

Whereas the spirit neither does anything, nor changes its nature (on account of its immutability); therefore this earth is neither a mental nor material production of it.
