The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.89.8

तदेवाकाशमात्रात्म तथाभूतं चिरं स्थितम् ।
इदं प्रत्ययलब्धत्वान्मानसत्वं समुज्झति ॥ ८ ॥

tadevākāśamātrātma tathābhūtaṃ ciraṃ sthitam |
idaṃ pratyayalabdhatvānmānasatvaṃ samujjhati || 8 ||

Being thus a void in itself, it continues to remain forever as such in the infinite void; but by being considered as a solid substance by the ignorant, they have altogether forgotten its intellectual nature.
