The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मरौ नास्त्येव सलिलं संवित्पश्यति तत्तथा ।
निर्मूलमन्तःसंतप्ता स्वसंभ्रमवती भ्रमम् ॥ ४८ ॥
marau nāstyeva salilaṃ saṃvitpaśyati tattathā |
nirmūlamantaḥsaṃtaptā svasaṃbhramavatī bhramam || 48 ||
There is no water in the sandy desert, and yet the mind thinks it sees it there; so the deluded sight of our understanding, sees the baseless objects of delusion, in the burning and barren waste of infinite void.
